The McDonnell F3H-2 Demon was a twin-engine, all-weather carrier-capable fleet defense fighter, which entered service with the United States Navy in 1956. The aircraft seen in this photograph was eventually struck off charge on October 30, 1964, at Naval Air Facility Litchfield Park in Arizona.
