A new hat for Mr Winston Churchill.
Mr Winston Churchill, appointed Lord Warden of the Cinque Ports in 1941, was finally installed in the office by the Court of Shepway at Dover Castle today (Wednesday). A former Lord Warden, Lord Beauchamp, designer uniform worn by Mr Churchill, which somewhat resembles an admirals and includes a cocked hat, epauletted coat and much gold braid. Mr Churchill was received at Dover with military honours and escorted to the castle by the motorcyclists of the R.A.C.S and Royal Corps of Signals. A fanfare of trumpets, greeted his entrance by the Constable Tower and at his installation as Lord Warden the salute and 19 guns was fired.
